The AXOL flat roof sealing premium is a high-quality, ready-to-use liquid sealant for permanent sealing of flat roofs, patios, balconies and carports. The solvent-free product can be easily applied in two layers, with no need for a separate primer. This allows time-saving processing and reduces material expenditure. An essential feature of the AU30 is its ability to bridge cracks up to 3mm. This makes it particularly suitable for demanding connection areas such as roof windows, wall connections, light domes or fireplace feedthroughs. The seal adapts flexibly and ensures a reliable seal – even in case of temperature fluctuations or light movements in the ground. In terms of weather resistance, the seal also offers convincing properties: it is UV-resistant, temperature-resistant in the range of -40°C to +80°C and forms a non-sticky, resistant surface after drying. The vapour permeability of the material prevents the accumulation of moisture within the construction and contributes to a permanently functional sealing system. Processing is possible at ambient temperatures between +5 °C and +40 °C. After about three hours, the seal is rainproof, the complete hardening takes place after about twelve hours. Depending on the surface and the layer thickness, the material consumption is about 1.4 to 2.0 kg per square metre. The liquid plastic can be used on various surfaces, including concrete, glass, screed, ceramic, tiles, wood as well as metals such as aluminium, steel, zinc and copper. Bitumen substrates may cause discolouration - therefore preliminary tests are generally recommended. Note: Please note that the AXOL Flat Roof Seal Premium is a seal and cannot be used as a floor covering. Application 1. Preparation of surfaces. The surface must be firm, load-bearing and free from impurities to achieve optimal adhesion. The surface to be coated must not contain any residues of oil, grease, dust and other separation layers. Loose parts, such as stones, residues of old coverings must be completely removed. 2. Primer A primer is not necessary and thus saves you the time of another work step, as is the case with conventional sealants. 3. Application: AXOL flat roof seal premium is ready to use. Additional mixing with a second component is no longer necessary and saves you precious time. Stir the contents briefly, empty on the surface and apply the sealant in two coats with a roller or brush or a wide brush in a thickness of 1 mm per coat. After drying the first layer (approx. 3 hours at 23°C and 50% relative humidity), you can start applying the second coat. After 12 hours (at 23°C and 50% relative humidity), the liquid sealant is completely dried out, the material can be walked on and subsequent activities can be absorbed. Temperature fluctuations or changes in humidity can cause a delay in curing. Consumption: Approx. 1.4 - 2.0 kg/m² per layer. Approx. 1.4 kg/m² at approx. 1 mm thick application thickness (without fleece reinforcement). Approx. 2.0 kg/m² at approx. 2 mm thick application thickness (with AXOL fleece reinforcement). 4. Curing Cures at room temperature. Curing time: approx. 3 hours at 23°C/50% relative Humidity (1 mm layer thickness). After 12 hours at 23°C/50% relative humidity, the sealant is completely dried out.
