This plant really could replace some overused hedges of invasive species like privet. The lush dark green leaves take one a reddish tint in the winter months. In spring the white fragrant flowering-plants are a reward and in fall and winter bright red berries will be part of the show. Full to partial sun. Fast grower to 12 feet tall, 8 feet wide. Zone 7-11.

- Viburnum awabuki grows 15 to 20 feet high and 10 to 15 feet wide, while Viburnum awabuki ‘Chindo’ grows a little smaller, 10 to 12 feet high and 8 to 9 feet wide.
