A Gewinde-Grenzlehrdorn is a combination of a Gutlehrdorn and an Ausschusslehrdorn, with the latter marked by a red ring. The good side of the Gewindelehrdorn should screw into the cut thread of a workpiece by hand without excessive force. If not, the thread does not meet the desired standards (rejected). The reject side should not screw in more than two turns by hand. If it does, the thread is also rejected. All parts and gauges are calibrated at 20°C. VÖLKEL offers a factory calibration certificate upon request, with independent lab testing following DIN, ISO, and ANSI standards on IAC-Gewindescanners.
