Change Permissions

To change the permissions of a PDF file using Indigo PDF, follow these steps:

  1. Select PDF to Change Permissions:
    • Use the application’s file selection or upload feature to choose the PDF file for which you want to change the permissions.
  2. Set Permissions:
    • Choose the specific permissions you want to set. These permissions define what actions can be performed on the PDF. Common permissions include:
    • Prevent assembly of the document
    • Prevent content extraction
    • Prevent extraction for accessibility
    • Prevent filling in forms
    • Prevent modification
    • Prevent annotation modification
    • Prevent printing
    • Prevent printing in different formats
  3. Apply Permissions:
    • After configuring the permissions, apply them to the PDF.
  4. Confirmation:
    • You will receive confirmation that the permissions have been successfully applied to the PDF. These permissions are now set as you specified.

It’s important to note that while these permissions can be applied without a password, having a password associated with these permissions is recommended to ensure that they remain unchangeable. To further enhance security, you can set these permissions along with a password on the “add-password” page.

By following these steps, you can easily change the permissions of a PDF file using Indigo PDF, allowing you to control what actions can be performed on the document, such as preventing copying, printing, or modifications.
