To sign a PDF with your certificate using Indigo PDF, follow these steps:
- Select PDF File for Signing:
- Use the application’s file selection or upload feature to choose the PDF file that you want to sign with your certificate.
- Choose Certificate Type:
- Select the certificate type that corresponds to your digital certificate. Indigo PDF supports certificate types such as PKCS12 and PEM.
- Enter Keystore or Private Key Password (If Required):
- If your certificate is protected by a password, enter the keystore or private key password in the provided field.
- Show Signature Details:
- Check the “Show Signature” option to view the reason, location, name, and page number where the digital signature will be applied. This allows you to verify the signature details.
- Sign PDF:
- After configuring the certificate and signature details, click the “Sign PDF” or “Start” button to apply your digital signature to the PDF document.
- Download the Signed PDF:
- Once the signing process is complete, you will be prompted to download the signed PDF file. Select a destination folder on your computer, and the signed PDF will be saved there.
- Confirmation:
- You will receive confirmation that the PDF has been successfully signed with your certificate. The signed PDF is now ready for use.
